New Joxko service to improve purchasing power

With the new Joxko, in addition to the new look, we've implemented a new customer journey and some very useful new features!

Among the new services available, today we're taking a look at Food Vouchers!

What is this new food voucher service?

Traditionally, members of the diaspora have traditionally sent money to their families and friends in their home countries. It's a practical way to help them in their daily lives and increase their resources for essential purchases.

For many years, Joxko has been helping these families by sending prepaid phone top-ups. This helps cover the cost of calls and keep in touch.

Still with the goal of providing financial assistance or resources, Joxko has launched a food voucher service. Currently available in 13 African countries, the service is expected to expand in the future.

The 13 countries in which food vouchers are already available: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

How do I buy a food voucher on Joxko?

To buy a food voucher on Joxko, go to the store and select the "Food Voucher" service.

Enter the recipient's phone number: you can only enter a number for a country where the service is available.

Next, you choose the city and store where the recipient can use their food voucher. This information is for guidance only; the recipient can visit another store in the country if that's more convenient for them.

Finally, you choose the amount you wish to spend on the food voucher and pay online using the payment method of your choice.

How do Joxko food vouchers work?

After payment has been validated, you will receive an order confirmation email, and the recipient will receive a text message with the food voucher information, such as the voucher code and the credited amount.

The recipient will be contacted by a team on site to inform them where and how they can use the food voucher. They can then visit one of the stores in our distribution network to make their purchases and pay with the food voucher.

What are the advantages of the Joxko food voucher?

For many years, Joxko has specialized in transferring purchasing power specifically for international phone top-ups. The food voucher service follows the same principle of specifically transferring purchasing power: you know what the money you send will be used for.

Perhaps you used to send money using an international money transfer system, but transfer costs can sometimes be exorbitant, especially for small amounts. By sending food vouchers, the amount you send is no longer burdened by fees.

When there's a celebration in your country but you can't make it, you can send a food voucher and participate in your own way!
